Students in the underwater robotics class will work to solve engineering design problems. The class project will be to build an underwater robot and use it to complete a real world mission such as searching for missing aircraft in Palau, searching for sunken ships in the Great Lakes or participating in a marine biology or fisheries project. Students in the class will develop critical pre-engineering skills by working on various assignments and mini-projects, in addition to the central class project of building an ROV and using is to complete a real world mission.
